RINA Consulting – Centro Sviluppo Materiali (CSM), established in 1963, is fully integrated into RINA since 2013. It carries out R&D and engineering consultancy activities for the competitiveness of companies, with the aim of developing and transferring technological innovation in the strategic sector of materials, hydrogen technologies, circular economy and related design, production and use technologies to the industrial level and to the global market. It is recognized as an important node in the European research and innovation network, operating for the industrial sector of steel production and for sectors as diverse as oil and gas, aerospace, special materials and products, engineering and plant engineering, and environment and energy, in collaboration with large, medium and small companies, both manufacturing and engineering/service. It is equipped with a relevant complex of laboratories and specialized pilot plants and has been collaborating for a long time with Universities and Public Research Institutions and is actively participating in national and European research programs.
